LONDON—British rock band Muse are no strangers to singing about conspiracies and secret plots to rule the world, but anyone willing to glance at the liner notes to the band's new album will be privy to a solution once thought impossible: how to stop the Illuminati in their eternal, hell-bent efforts to control the world by forming a global New World Order.
Under strict interpretation of the lyrics to the trio's fifth album, Resistance, the 11-track concept album's simple, three-step solution involves exposing the clandestine Illuminati through incessant radio airplay, then having the masses run and hide once martial law is instituted.
The third and final step is a bit more complicated, as it involves sending a distress signal to an unnamed alien race, based on the lyrics, "Spread our codes to the stars...You must rescue us all." Supposedly, this will be accomplished similar to how Will Smith uploaded the Mac virus to the alien computer in Independence Day.

I don't know my jury is still out but this album has a lot of messages in it and symbolism...... and I just can't decide if it's dangerously brilliant or brilliantly dangerous
Musefan - some interesting background there. Personally though I don't get the sense that Muse are puppets of the government, spreading a hidden message of surrender. If anything, it's always been about fighting back and empowering the people. I don't think that's any different with The Resistance.
We're blind. Resistance with a barcoded/microchipped fist? What kind of resistance is that? Muse are talented and well-meaning but are puppets of what is beyond the illuminati (who are simply the executors) just like every other band. "They" put this stuff right in our faces as if it's heroic opposition and we chew on it like sheep. We get so confused we don't know where to look. We search for leaders but don't know who to believe. The only place we can look is to love. Switch off, be awake and look to love. Peace to all.
Anonymous, I wouldn't take the cover too literally. The chorus for the title track of "The Resistance" talks about how "love is our resistance."
I'm a little undecided about Muse being puppets. For their first few albums, it was cool that they were exposing this stuff in their own way. And then I read Matt Bellamy's official stance on 9/11, which is that he doesn't think it was an inside job anymore. At least, that's what he wants the public to know now that Muse is pretty popular worldwide. If that's what you believe, okay, but then he goes on with the Big Brother/secret government stuff. So I'm not sure what to think.
I do think that something strange is going on and accelerating.
We have no time for doubt or arguing anymore.

Muse use hypnotic clips and lyrics and is certainly not warning anyone. They prepare us for submission, that's what it is.

But many out there still do not want to be unplugged from the system even they are well aware of this.

Don't let your mind open for them. Be careful to what you listen to, to what you watch on TV. Muse is warning us. But they don't show us the solution, because they don't know it. The solution is Jesus.
